A quiet look at PEMF

What is PEMF therapy?

A charge in every cell

Healthy cells hold a small voltage across their outer membrane, about seventy thousandths of a volt. It powers how they take in nutrients, move oxygen and clear what they no longer need.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy is a soothing, non-invasive way of working with that charge. A coil beneath you sends out magnetic pulses at precise, very low frequencies. Each pulse induces a tiny current in the tissue it passes through, and the body is invited to do what it already knows how to do: restore, regulate and re-energise.
Clients most often come for recovery, comfort, deeper rest and steadier energy. Many describe feeling lighter from the first session.

Where do you feel it?

Clients often come with one place that keeps asking for attention. Touch an area and watch the red soften into calm water.
The biological window

Earth-like rhythms, a few beats a second

The system in this practice works at very low frequencies, a handful of pulses each second. That range sits alongside the slow rhythms of the resting brain and the natural electromagnetic resonance of the Earth itself. Slide through it, then press and hold the circle.

Near the Earth's own resonanceAbout 7.83 pulses per second, the Schumann resonance: the natural hum between the ground and the upper atmosphere.
On many Android phones you will feel the rhythm as you hold. iPhones stay still.
Why clinical-grade intensity?

Strength that reaches the deep water

Two pieces of physics explain why intensity matters.
i
Faraday's law. A changing magnetic field induces a voltage. The stronger the field, and the sharper each pulse, the greater the effect it can create in tissue.
ii
Distance. A coil's field fades fast as it travels. For a coil about 16 cm across, only around a third of the strength remains 8 cm away.
Put together, a gentle field may barely pass the skin, while a strong one can still carry meaningful energy into muscle, joints and organs. As magnetic medicine author Dr William Pawluk puts it, the signal needs to be strong enough to penetrate tissue to matter. That is why this practice uses a USA-manufactured, high-intensity, clinical-grade system.

Is PEMF supported by research?

A library of published research

PEMF has been investigated since the 1970s. Below are 36 peer-reviewed papers, each marked by how it was done: trials in people, reviews that pool many studies, and laboratory work on cells. Results vary and research continues, so this practice makes no specific clinical claims.

    Is PEMF safe?

Gentle for most people, with a few clear exceptions

Sessions are non-invasive, pain-free for most people, and adjusted to you as you go. You will feel a gentle pulsing or tapping, noticed most in the area of concern. If anything feels too strong, the intensity is simply turned down.
PEMF is not suitable if you
    • have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, such as a cochlear implant or insulin pump
    • are pregnant
    • are actively bleeding
Please mention when booking if you
    • have had recent surgery or have metal implants
    • have epilepsy or a history of seizures
    • are unsure whether PEMF suits you. A free chat first is always welcome
How many sessions would I need?

    Like a tide, it builds

Every body is different. Some clients feel a clear shift after one session. Longstanding concerns usually respond best to closer sessions at first, spaced out as the body settles.
As a guide, three to five sessions within ten days will give you a clear sense of what PEMF can do for you. Packages and weekly or monthly maintenance plans are available. Just ask.

    Who will guide your sessions?

    PEMF sessions with Michelle Pearce

    2008
Michelle's journey with PEMF began at home. A close family member was facing a serious chronic health challenge, and in searching beyond conventional answers she found a body of research on PEMF that was surprisingly deep and rigorous, at a time when few in wellness circles had heard of it.
    Since
PEMF became part of her naturopathic practice, alongside nutrition, herbal medicine and mental and spiritual support, helping hundreds of clients through pain, fatigue, injury and chronic imbalance.
    Today
The technology is only part of it. Choosing the right frequency, intensity and approach for each person is where experience shows. Every session is shaped by two decades of clinical practice and a deep respect for the body's own intelligence.
    “
I have witnessed what this technology can do, not only in a clinical sense, but in people’s lives. That is what continues to inspire my passion for sharing it.

    Questions

    Before your first session

    What does PEMF feel like?
A gentle, rhythmic pulsing or tapping, felt most in the area of concern. It is pain-free for most people, and many clients find it deeply relaxing and drift into a light sleep.
    Do I need to undress?
No. PEMF works through clothing, so you stay fully clothed and lie on a full-body contour bed for the whole session.
    Who can benefit from PEMF?
Anyone wanting more energy, better recovery from exercise or injury, or support with physical discomfort, fatigue or a longstanding health concern. PEMF does not treat specific conditions. It supports the body's own self-healing and self-regulating function.
How many PEMF sessions will I need?
It varies. As a guide, three to five sessions within ten days gives a clear sense of how you respond, and effects tend to build across sessions. Packages and maintenance plans are available.
    Who should not have PEMF?
Anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device (such as a cochlear implant or insulin pump), anyone who is pregnant, and anyone actively bleeding. If you have had recent surgery, have metal implants or epilepsy, please mention it when booking.
    Where are PEMF sessions held?
In person at 69 Palmer Street, Cammeray, on Sydney's Lower North Shore, close to Neutral Bay, Crows Nest, Mosman and North Sydney.
If this approach feels aligned for you,
you are warmly invited to book your first PEMF session.
